Frequently Asked Questions
"When are you doing Episode IV?" - Episode IV, entitled "A New Hoax" was suppose to be complete by March-April of 2009, but a personal tragedy has delayed it for a while.

Do you have any of Episode IV completed? - Yes! We have a about 75% of the content completed but none of the gags or studio stuff completed.

What is going to be in Episode IV? - We showed some preview video at Pinball Expo 2008 in Chicago that included an interview with Steve Kordek that Shaggy did for TOPCast and a few other clips. Additional material is being produced.

Why does this video cost less here than on the two Pinball Hall of Fame websites? - PayPal charges fees to transfer money. This site absorbs the fees, the others do not. Technically, more of the money goes to the PHOF if you use the other sites to buy the discs, but this site is cheaper by a slight margin.

Why did you raise the price from $6 to $7? - Shipping went up. The US Post Office changed how much it cost to send small packages. We still wanted your contributions to count, so we raised it by a buck in the US.

Why don't you do better cover art or have the discs professionally manufactured? - Because this would REQUIRE us to raise the price of the disc. The point of all of this is to help a charity. We produce the videos out of a love for Arcade Collecting and to help keep a piece of history alive.

What do you Really make from these DVDs? - Honest answer - Additional debt for ourselves. Making props, buying new camera equipment, flying to locations, paying admission to events, etc. is all covered by Paul and Al out of pocket. This is a hobby. We like doing it. The results are that a charity is helped, but we have fun with it.

Can I contribute to the next Pins and Vids? - Yes - Well, for a little while longer. If you have something you think we should add, please e-mail "al at pinsandvids dot com". Please hurry though!

Will there be an Episode V? - Most Likely but we don't know when. Al is planning two non-hobby documentaries after P&V Episode IV. Paul is running a new business. We may be taking a decent break between eIV and eV.

What do you think of the competitor's product? - Anything that advances the hobby is a good thing. We are friends with many of the home-producers that produce hobby-type videos and keep up with projects. We have contributed to a couple wherever we could help out.

Why is it so cheap?? - Tim Arnold told us that he would rather sell a lot of the videos for a little bit of money than less for a lot more. With the 100s of discs sold over the years, we agree.

Did Al really invent the Arcade and Pinball on-line radio format?? - Somewhat. Al became a fan of Retrogaming Radio with Shane Monroe at the beginning of that network and did a show called "Pins and Vids" about real arcade collecting back in 1999. You decide.

Do you think "Insert some sports team" will get to the "Insert some "Final Game" that they play"? - How do we know? We're a couple of overwight IT guys who make videos about arcade games. We don't care if the Phillies get to the Super Bowl! - Insert a coin, get a life - Duh!
